Spoil

 

Morag is a Cornish poet. Her pamphlet, Spoil was published by Broken Sleep Books on the 31st of October 2021, and has been well received so far.

As a lone-parent New Traveller she brought her children up close to nature, in trucks, caravans, and sometimes houses. She writes about her experiences, identifying with the ravaged landscape of Cornwall, exploring its interior and exterior aspects, using it to mirror her own psychology and self-observations. The poetry bears witness to the poverty of people who mined metal till the Cornish mines were closed and investigates the history that gave rise to it. She writes for peace, equality, and enlightened awareness.
